What would you say if you skied down from the Hahnenkamm in Kitzbühel and you saw a helicopter flying with a Formula 1 car suspended? Weird, right?!
I was skiing with my family when Red Bull called me to cover a very unique event. I jumped in my car and drove to Tyrol.
One week before the most famous World Cup downhill ski race, Hahnenkammrennen, Red Bull Racing organised a very special Show Run at the top of the Streif. Scuderia Toro Rosso's Max Verstappen drove the car on snow at an altitude of more than 1600 metres, -13° Celsius and breathtaking views of the Alps. The RB7 was equipped with custom-made snow chains, so Max could drive on the snow. It was interesting to see random skiers' shocked faces when they exited the chairlift and saw a Formula 1 car speeding up and down the ski slope.
